Ottosdal Race Photos of CAL-X in Action
A bit of a late report-back, but juggling work & extreme fun becomes tricky.
So, in off-road racing… a good day out is finishing, finishing safely and with no damages but a few scratched stickers is a Great day out, and that is what we had last Saturday at the Ottosdal 200. We are slowly moving up the rankings which is helping our starting position in the line-up as dust this time of year can really hinder your progress and overtaking becomes really tricky and almost impossible at times. Due to dust we saw a rock at the last second which we were unable to avoid which we just clipped, ripping the side wall. This was our first puncture we’ve had which tested our tire changing skills. The tire change went pretty well, similar to that of the F1 teams… only about 6 min longer 😜
We managed to place ourselves 5th overall in the production cars despite the flat, so we are happy with our consistent progress. Unfortunately we will miss the July race due to a family wedding but are looking forward to our next race in Doornbult in August for which we have already started preparing. Once again we are so grateful for the support we are getting from our amazing partners, so a big thanks to Ford CMH Randburg, Jonnesway Professional Tools, Powerdek, Ink Monkey Creative Graphics, Redlined Motoring Adventure, GP Windscreens.
