Silent Disco Information FAQs

What is a silent disco?

A silent disco is an event where people listen to music through headphones instead of the sound coming out of speakers. The headphones connect wirelessly to 2 wireless transmitters, each playing different music. People may then choose for themselves what song to listen to. You can increase the volume on your headphone to satisfy your requirements and not disturb the neighbours with blaring speakers. Take the headphones off and there is no music to disrupt your conversation. Absolutely ideal for complexes and other close proximity living – happy neighbours are nice neighbours.

How Silent Disco it works

For your event we will supply you with two wireless music transmitters, you just need to supply the music from a phone, cd, mp3, computer, decoder etc or a DJ Desk. You can plug most music sources into the transmitter. The transmitter sends the signal to the wireless headsets. Each person wearing a headset can choose their own volume and which of the two audio sources to listen to & party-on! On your headset, you can tap the power button to switch between the different channels. You can see what your friends are listening too by the colour their headset glows. Listen to the music of your choice and control your own volume level.

Rental Packages

Choose a package with enough headsets for the number of guests at your function. The headsets will be fully charged up and cleaned for you. The package includes two transmitters which you will plug your music into, and guests can select between those two sources on their headset. A third transmitter is available at a minimal extra cost.

Advantages of Silent Disco Events

Each person with a headset can choose their own volume level. You can select between different music choices. Take off the headset and you can hold a conversation without strain. Continue the party past noise curfews – bonus. The entire system can be run on battery power in case of power failure. It can be used anywhere. Headsets use built-in rechargeable batteries lasting over 6 hours of continuous use. Party with normal speakers, at curfew switch to silent disco and party till the sun rises.
